Dr. Kingsley Bolton
Kingsley Bolton is Professor of English Linguistics at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He is Co-Editor of the journal World Englishes (Wiley-Blackwell), and a member of the Editorial Boards of Applied Linguistics Review, English Today, English World-Wide, and the Journal of World Languages. He has published widely on English in the Asian region, language and globalization, sociolinguistics, and world Englishes.

Dr. Shirley N. Dita
Shirley Dita is Associate Professor of the Department of English and Applied Linguistics of De La Salle University, the Philippines and Director of the Lasallian Institute for Development and Educational Research (LIDER). She was Visiting Professor at the School of Education, University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa for a month. She considers World Englishes, Corpus Linguistics, Syntax, and Austronesian Linguistics as her areas of interest. She is the (outgoing) President of the Linguistic Society of the Philippines (LSP), the Executive Secretary of the Asian Association for Lexicography (AsiaLex), and sits in the Executive Board of the Southeast Asian Linguistic Society (SEALS) and the International Conference on Austronesian Linguistics (ICAL).

Dr. Adrian Holliday

Adrian Holliday is Professor of Applied Linguistics & Intercultural Education at Canterbury Christ Church University, UK, where he supervises doctoral research in the critical sociology of language education and intercultural communication. He has published widely in these areas and also in qualitative research methodology. The first half of his career was spent in Iran, Syria and Egypt as a curriculum developer.

Dr. Daniel Z. Kadar
Daniel Kadar is Research Professor and Head of Research Group at the Research Institute for Linguistics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He also holds a visiting chair at Anglia Ruskin University, and works as Yunshan Chair Professor at the Key National Institute of Linguistics and Applied Linguistics of the Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. His areas of interest include sociopragmatics, intercultural communication, language aggression, the cross-over between cross-cultural psychology and linguistics, English language, East Asian languages, and rituals. He is author of 22 monographs and edited volumes, many of which published by world-leading publishing houses such as Cambridge University Press. His most recent works include Politeness, Impoliteness and Ritual (Cambridge University Press, 2017) and the Palgrave Handbook of Linguistic Politeness (ed. with Jonathan Culpeper and Michael Haugh, Palgrave Macmillan, 2017). Currently he is working on various Cambridge monographs, and the Cambridge Handbook of Sociopragmatics (ed. with Michael Haugh and Marina Terkourafi). He is Editor (with Xinren Chen, Nanjing University) of the peer-reviewed academic journal East Asian Pragmatics.

Dr. Yusuke Kondo
Yusuke Kondo works as Associate Professor at Waseda University. He received the degrees of BA, MEd, and PhD from Waseda University. His research interests are in language testing and machine learning. Now he is developing an automated scoring system for L2 learners' speech and writing.

Dr. Isabel Pefianco Martin
Dr. Isabel Pefianco Martin is an Associate Professor at the Department of English, Ateneo de Manila University, Philippines. She is also Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Philippine Social Science Council and President of the Association of Asian Social Science Research Councils. Prior to these posts, she served as president of the Linguistic Society of the Philippines, chair of the Ateneo de Manila English Department, and research coordinator of the Ateneo School of Humanities. She has published works in international publications, including the Routledge Handbook of World Englishes and the Journal of World Englishes.

Dr. Andrew Moody
Andrew Moody is Associate Professor of English at the University of Macau where he teaches courses in sociolinguistics and world Englishes. His PhD dissertation in English (1997) was a corpus examination of inter-ethnic and intra-ethnic writing styles found in e-mail messages from Hong Kong students, a dissertation that became an early examination of Hong Kong English. After completing the PhD and while working in Japan he began investigating the role of English in Japanese popular culture generally, and especially in J-Pop music. He has written on the role of English in East Asian and South East Asian popular culture and published in World Englishes, English Language and Teaching Journal, English Today and has contributed essays to several collections focussing on language in popular culture and in world Englishes.
